- School sport, athletics and inter-school competitions
- Dance, drama and performing arts
- Excursions and incursions
- Public speaking and debating
- Music and creative arts groups
- Lunchtime and interest-based clubs
- Student leadership opportunities

Our students take part in activities that bring learning to life. These experiences build confidence, skills and real-world understanding.
Our co-curricular highlights
Student Representative Council (SRC)
Our SRC is responsible for providing a strong student voice in the school. Led by our two school Presidents, members of the SRC meet weekly to discuss issues important to students and communicate these to the school leadership team. The SRC also lead the way in fundraising and event management in the school.
The Bombala High School Debating Squad and Public Speaking Teams
The BHS Debating Squad competes in the NSW Premier's Debating Challenge with teams for Stage 4 (Years 7 and 8) and Stage 5 (Years 9 and 10). Topics include education, sports, media, and technology, and we debate against other schools in-person or online. In addition, students can take part in two speaking competitions: the NSW Plain English Speaking Award for those aged 15 and over, and the Junior Secondary Speaking Award for students under 15.
Game Maker Challenge
Bombala High School students with interest in STEM are welcome to join our Game Maker Challenge Team. Students work on real life problems and develop their design thinking skills whilst competing with other schools to find solutions to real world problems.
UC Aspire
Senior students at Bombala High School benefit from our close connection to the University of Canberra's Aspire Program. Students make the transition to university easily with regular visits, transition programs and campus visits throughout their senior experience.
